Montréal, Ottawa, Lac St. Paul

2022 April

We flew into Montréal (YUL) and spent a fortnight with family, enjoying Montréal’s cuisine, art museums, crafts; as well as enabling comparison between Vancouver’s best bagels and those of Montréal.

We spent two nights in Ottawa, with a walk along the Rideau Canal and an afternoon and evening in Byward Market; then spent a couple of days in the Québec Laurentians, where we relaxed beside Lac St. Paul, and visited Lac de la Montagne and Chutes Windigo, snowshoeing in beautiful sunshine.

From here we returned to Montréal to catch a flight to Halifax, whence to Wolfville for the first part of 2 weeks in Nova Scotia.

Our next stages of the trip:

We’re now in Wolfville, visiting family here for a fortnight.

  • Acquire a stove
  • Acquire a camp table or build a table onto the rear door

  • Acquire and fit a fire extinguisher
  • Acquire emergency warning triangles
  • Acquire jumper cables
  • Acquire wheel chocks and consider a second HD bottle jack
  • Pick up some spares for the vehicle – fuses, bulbs
  • Acquire some supplies for general work – duck tape, tie wraps, etc.
  • Acquire sheets, pillows, and pillow cases
  • Acquire a second cell phone SIM
  • Buy food
  • Set off into BC.

Hugs
